What we DO require is a strong work ethic, positive attitude, and the ability to hustle. Not to scare you, but we want to be completely transparent with our expectations - most jobs at Signal Mountain Nursery are not strictly desk jobs. We all hustle hard - often on our feet - for a significant portion of each day, and we have a lot of fun while we do it. We all help out in other areas as needed, so the ability to be flexible is extremely important.

Greenhouse Growing Associate- Job duties include planting, watering, and restocking inventory. Ideal candidates are willing to work independently, and learn and adapt to their daily jobs. Applicants must have the ability to lift 50lbs or more and be on their feet for eight hours.

Greenhouse Sales Associate- Job duties include assisting customers with selecting plants, general upkeep of plant material, weeding and receiving in new inventory . Ideal candidates would have some knowledge about annuals, perennials, houseplants, trees, or shrubs, but it is not required. Applicants must be willing to learn and work independently, have the ability to lift 50lbs or more and be on their feet for eight hours.

Retail Associate- Job duties include customer checkout, answering phone calls, display assembly, inventory, assisting with email and social media pages, and basic upkeep of store. Applicants must be willing to learn and work independently, have the ability to lift 50lbs or more and be on their feet for eight hours.

Landscaping-Job duties include mulching, digging, trimming of shrubs and trees, installation of water features, stone work, and planting. Applicants must be able to work in all weather conditions, able to lift 50lbs or more, and be comfortable working with machinery.

Lawn Maintenance- Job duties include mulching, trimming of shrubs and trees, mowing grass, blowing leaves, application of disease and insect control, tree removal, some planting and other general yard clean up. Applicants must be able to work in all weather conditions, able to lift 50lbs or more, and be comfortable working with machinery.

Irrigation Specialist- Job duties include designing, install and maintenance of irrigation systems. Applicants must have two to three years experience, problem solving ability and be able to work independently.
